Values Go to School

Values Go to School suggests that ethical issues are inseparable from the life of the classroom and the school. Documenting classroom life from kindergarten through high school, this program observes educators who have made “values” a part of their curriculum. In the program, you’ll see how teachers are incorporating into their teaching such concepts as racial tolerance, non-violent conflict resolution, respect for diversity, the importance of doing work and the value of open discourse in the school community.

Children can learn so much in school about what is fair, respect for others and how to get along...if adults are trained to guide them. This video profiles ways to help children learn values — and become the caring, curious and confident people we know they can be!
